Jen graduated from Towson University with her bachelor’s in Deaf Studies with a concentration in human services. Following graduation, Jen jumped right into the mental health field working in psychiatric inpatient settings with adolescents and adults with eating disorders. She spent time working with adolescents with autism and developed a passion for working with individuals on the spectrum. Jen lived abroad in South Korea for a year where she was a teacher and expanded her worldview.

Jen has experience working in mental health psychiatric rehabilitation programs where she utilized motivational interview techniques to assist her clients in creating meaningful change. Jen enjoys working with all ages but has a soft spot for working with adolescents and young adults. As a neurodivergent and disabled individual, she feels passionate about working with these populations as she can relate to their struggles firsthand.

Jen has experience working closely with individuals of the LGBTQ+ community. Jen utilizes an eclectic modality, frequently drawing upon ACT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness techniques. She intertwines trauma-informed care into her work and strives to create a safe place where everyone can feel comfortable.

In her free time, Jen enjoys watching anime, playing video games, watching scary movies, cuddling with her two cats and dog, reading fantasy novels/manga, listening to K-pop, and laughing at silly memes. Jen received her Masters in Counseling Psychology from the University of Baltimore.

Jen is able to see clients located in the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania under the supervision of Jessica Rice.
